CREDIT MANAGER
Job Responsibilities
Credit Manager is responsible for all aspects and activities related to manage the credit department and make decisions concerning credit limits, acceptable levels of risk, terms of payment and enforcement actions with the customers. This function is combined with Accounts Receivable and Collections into one department.
Main Objectives:
• Manage the credit department;
• Collections, credits and general customer relations;
• Managing credit insurance and customer limits;
• Maintenance and protection of master data as per POPIA
• Adhering to deadlines for reporting, month-end closing, reports and journals
Main Responsibilities and Activities:
•Management of day-to-day tasks, functions and responsibilities the entire department
- Manage and close all open internal and external audit findings
- Management of returns process (IBE) with Debtors Administrator
- All commercial agreements should be maintained and loaded in SAP
Collections, credits and general customer relations
•End-to-end Customer management and duties for assigned customers
- Collection: receivables & ageing
- Monthly reconciliation of customer accounts
- Maintaining trade terms renewals and agreements
- Run weekly reports ensuring invoices are generated, credit notes are done and follow up on outstanding
sales order list for customers.
• Specific attention and support to managing open order credit note request and any other claims or short
payments with assigned Customers within the expected turnaround time
- Management of customer returns (CDs)
• Responsible for customer portals functionality
Managing credit insurance and customer limits
• Execution as per Credit Management Policy and timelines
Maintenance and protection of master data as per POPIA
Job Profile
Qualifications:
- The candidate should have a Degree or Diploma in a commerce related field
- 3+ years of credit management experience
- FMCG or Wholesale industry experience will be beneficial
