ELECTRONIC FIRMWARE ENGINEER (M/F/X)

Job Responsibilities

The Candidate has to manage, develop and support firmware for embedded systems (household appliances)

The main requirements are:
-Excellent knowledge of C/(C++ is a Plus) and assembly programming languages;
-Excellent knowledge of main communication bus protocol (SPI, UART, I2C, ecc...);
-Good knowledge of microcontroller architecture (8-16-32 bit) and of their peripherals;
-Good knowledge of main EMC issues in the process of product validation;
-Good knowledge of sensors and loads used in household appliances;
-Good knowledge in main laboratory instrumentations like oscilloscopes, logic analyzer, power meters, variac and programmers;
-Competence in reading and understanding product specifications and market regulations (UL, CE, ecc ...);
-Competence in writing documentation, technical specifications, algorithms and procedures regarding product development and validation;
-Competence in reading schematics and its translation into firmware specifications;
-Competence in define coherent timings and in activity organization;
-Independence in interfacing with external departments (marketing, quality, production, mechanicals), consultant, suppliers.

The following skills and competences will be considered a plus in the profile selection:
-Experience in AC and DC load management;
-Competence in software development for test and diagnosis (C/C++/C# ...);
-Knowledge of main wireless communication standards (BLE, Wi-Fi, ecc);
-Knowledge of version control software like SVN/GIT.

Job Profile

Qualifications, Knowledges:
-Degree in computer science or electronic;
-Previous experience of at least 3-5 years as firmware designer, gained in medium-large companies operating in consumer electronics;
-A good knowledge of English, accuracy, independence, ability to work in teams complete the profile.
