JUNIOR CATEGORY MANAGER
Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a JUNIOR CATEGORY MANAGER to create and execute a coherent category strategy. The person will actively participate in various stages of introducing a new product or services to the market. The duties include ongoing supervision of business performance, sales, distribution, pricing, and promotion. JUNIOR CATEGORY MANAGER will work closely with other departments (Communication Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Headquarters, Financial controlling, etc.) The role reports to a CATEGORY DIRECTOR CEE.
Location: Prague.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product responsibility:
- Takes part in preparing recommendations of product portfolio
- Prepares launches of products and the expansion of the brand into new categories
- Proposing and carrying out the appropriate market research
- Constant portfolio supervision and optimization
2. Distribution / Price responsibility:
- Taking part in the preparation of distribution plan recommendations and working together with the local sales teams on its execution
- Assistance in creating pricing policies for assigned product categories
3. Permanent tracking of the key variables of the business:
- GFK panel data
- Sales analysis
- Monitoring the competitive environment and consumer trends
4. Give outstanding service to the Sales Team and our Customers, making sure our strategies reach our consumers.
5. Actively participate in and prepare internal meetings, sales meetings and brand reviews.
Job Profile
Key Requirements from the candidate:
- 1-2 years of working experience in a similar position.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in marketing/business/economics.
- Fluent English, comfortable working in an international environment.
- Passion for consumer and digital marketing understanding.
- Analytical mind and data-driven approach to actions.
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Proactive, KPI-driven, results-oriented, well organized, and keeping time commitments.
- Able to adjust to a fast-changing business environment.
- Available for business travel, approximately 20 days/year.
