Job Responsibilities

The resource will apply acoustics and vibration skills to formulate technical solutions for controlling the noise generated by aerodynamic and vibration sources in De’Longhi’s innovative products.

Principle Responsibilities include:
- Working on the acoustic performance of De’Longhi’s products from the initial concept to production; from design to analysis and validation via prototyping and testing;
- Carrying out predictive acoustic simulations and develop analytical methods along with dedicated experimentation to verify findings;
- Writing test plans and implementing test methodologies or standard operating procedures for acoustic testing with a focus on vibro-acoustic topic, at system, subsystem, and component level;
- Analysing data using noise level, noise spectrum, and sound quality metrics;
- Identifying and troubleshooting design issues that result in unwanted acoustic noise;
- Creating and implementing innovative noise test solutions with cross-functional teams.

Job Profile

Qualifications, Knowledge:
- BEng/BSc/Msc/PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering with specialization in Vibroacoustics, acoustics, and vibration other relevant engineering disciplines;
- 4-5 years experience or equivalent is preferred;
- Demonstrated ability to investigate, model and provide critical insights into complex physical phenomena relating to noise, vibration, vibro-acoustics and aero- acoustics;
- Excellent understanding of aerodynamic noise sources and aero-acoustic prediction models;
- Excellent knowledge of thermodynamics and fluid dynamics;
- Experience in using CFD/CAA tools like: ANSYS/Fluent/CFX is a plus;
- Experience of noise and vibration measurement hardware and software for data acquisition and signal processing. (MATLAB is preferred);
- Good understanding of relevant experimental techniques.
