Job Responsibilities

Key Interface Internal-External:
R&D, Testing, IP, Quality, Prototype Model Shop, Suppliers, Industrial design.

Guide as project leader or as a team member the development of new subsystems and core technologies with the optimal fluids and thermal performances for De’Longhi‘s next generation products.

Principle Accountabilities:
-Generate innovative concepts using analytical techniques including CFD and experiments;
-Lead all activities related to thermal management and aerodynamic performance through the design, development and delivery;
-Use analytical techniques (Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) or Finite Element Analysis (FEA)) to add insight into experimental results, driving early development concepts, supporting projects with appropriate technology readiness and advancement;
-Support the implementation of design concepts from early design to finished assembly. This would include analysis, product concepts, dimensional verification, and general demonstration of the use of core engineering disciplines;
-Lead the development of design concepts through prototype hardware procurement, assembly, testing, data analysis, fault analysis, problem solving, and design refinement;
-Ideate patentable concepts in line with Innovation Strategy;
-Design advanced ventilation systems to meet the requirements (Aero/Thermal/noise control) through the computational fluid dynamic methods and simulation instruments for new products.

Job Profile

Qualifications, Knowledge:
-BEng/BSc/ Msc in Mechanical engineering, Aerospace engineering or other relevant engineering disciplines;
-A demonstrated interest in performing detailed analyses with a strong academic background in the areas of computational fluid dynamics, heat transfer and computer programming;
-Good understanding of the principles and application of ANSYS CFD tools;
-Excellent knowledge for geometry creation, simplification, and data management within CAD software;
-Proficient in the theory of thermodynamics, aerodynamics and fluid dynamics. Ability to perform thermodynamic heat transfer calculations is a plus;
-Must have an innovative mindset, be proactive in improving processes and driving projects.
