SUPPLY CHAIN PLANNER (M/F/X)
Job Responsibilities
The role is about handling the end-to-end planning and procurement process for a portfolio of products to ensure stock availability on time and in full whilst balancing stock levels by working closely with suppliers, factories, Commercial team, and New Product Development
team. The role has to plan and liaise proactively with sales and forecasting operations to ensure there are no capacity issues in supply chain.
Specifically, the role is to:
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure smooth production and on-time delivery
- Communicate with markets/customers on order/shipment status
- Confirm all commercial forecast requests based on present and projected stock availability.
- Manage forecast changes in a timely manner
- Provide monthly forecast to suppliers with accurate reports and analytics support
- Analyses metrics, KPI and sales records regularly for at-risk and ad-hoc products
- Communicate regularly with overseas office and suppliers on forecast and Purchase Order (PO) confirmation
- Evaluate opportunities and bottlenecks with production planning team
- Handle PO process, such as PO issuing, PSI booking and goods receipt
- Handle Phase in / Phase out and ensure reduction of obsolete materials
- Plan materials for master PO activities
- Negotiate with suppliers for reducing lead times for specific orders outside of the agreed parameters
- Manage all workflows for Corrections, Extras, Recoveries and stock owner changes
- Handle documentation for payment and returned goods and maintain system information regarding material and price
- Prepare supply planning reports as requested by Planning Managers
Job Profile
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or equivalent
- At least 2 years’ experience in procurement or planning
- Knowledge of manufacturing or customer goods
- Work well and independently under tight schedule
- Team player, responsible and willing to learn
- Advanced user in Excel
- Fluent in both written and spoken English and Mandarin
- Flexibility to travel to China to visit suppliers as and when required (infrequently and only day travel is required)
Good-to-have (not a must):
- SAP APO experience
- Understanding of planning activities from Finished goods to Materials in manufacturing
- Understanding of small domestic appliances and seasonal products, such as heating and cooling products
