REGIONAL SAP APPLICATIONS MANAGER
Job Responsibilities
We are seeking a dynamic and highly capable Regional Applications Manager to lead our SAP operations and project delivery across the Asia Pacific region. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a distributed team of SAP professionals in Hong Kong, China, and Australia.
This is a true "player-coach" role. We are looking for an inspiring leader with a strong "can-do" attitude who can align local needs with global standards, and still roll up their sleeves to provide hands-on technical expertise across core SAP modules. You will lead our journey through continuous system enhancements, complex integrations, and S/4HANA implementations.
Strong communication and collaboration with the HQ SAP Competence Center is essential.
Main Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse regional SAP team distributed across Hong Kong, China, and Australia.
- Foster a collaborative culture within the team, promoting continuous learning and cross-functional support.
- Manage resource allocation and skills development of all direct reports.
Strategic Project Delivery
- Direct end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation, rollout, and upgrade projects across the APAC region.
- Enterprise application projects leadership in Asia Pacific regions, including requirement gathering, solution design, testing, cutover, and post-go live stabilization.
- Partner with the Global SAP Competence Center (HQ) to ensure regional business initiatives align seamlessly with global corporate IT standards and architecture.
Technical Leadership
- Act as the ultimate regional escalation point by applying deep, hands-on configuration and troubleshooting expertise across full SAP modules (SD, MM, FI, CO, and related logistics/ finance areas).
- Design, test, and implement complex business processes alongside the team.
- Oversee and troubleshoot complex system integrations, EDI architectures, and third-party interfaces.
Stakeholder Management & Business Partnering
- Collaborate closely with regional business leaders across Sales, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, and Manufacturing to identify improvement opportunities and translate them into scalable SAP or enterprise application solutions.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly and effectively.
Operations & Service Delivery
- Govern internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs), ensuring incidents, requests, and enhancements are resolved efficiently.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives to optimize system performance, automate workflows, and enhance the overall user experience.
Job Profile
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7 - 10 years of comprehensive SAP experience, with 2-3 years in a leadership or managerial capacity preferred.
- Deep hands-on configuration experience across any of two core SAP modules (e.g., SD, MM, FI, CO, PP, QM).
- Experience with EDI, ABAP, EWM, aATP or IBP is advantageous.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering SAP S/4HANA implementation or upgrade projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing remote or distributed teams, specifically within the APAC region is a plus.
- Willingness to travel across the region as required.
- Fluent in English is required.
- Mandarin, Cantonese or Italian would be an advantage.
