Job Responsibilities
Joining our Purchasing team, at European level, you'll have the opportunity to experience yourself in suppliers management, assisting in the definition and driving the implementation of a mid/long term strategic purchasing plan for the components assigned. You’ll perform the best targets in terms of quality, timing and prices in the purchasing and procurement of the components assigned, guaranteeing Product Development and Production flow continuity.
You'll be accountable/responsible for:
- Supporting the implementation of the strategic purchasing plan defined in collaboration with the Commodity Manager.
- As a strategic buyer of plastic resins you will work in project teams for the development and implementation of new purchasing strategies and processes in raw material purchasing
- You are responsible to perform operational purchasing for the direct and subcontracted demands, including RFQs, awarding and contract process, support for proper payment to suppliers, risk management in the supply chain, and as purchasing escalation contact for delivery and quality issues.
- You independently assess the market conditions and prepare professional and accurate price forecasts.
- You will have responsibility for important suppliers, including taking the lead in professional preparation and conducting of contract negotiations.
- Working toward optimization of procurement costs in cooperation with cross-functional teams is an important task.
- By working in collaborative teams, you will contribute to new IT solutions within Purchasing.
Job Profile
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience within Purchasing Department of international companies and be interested in travelling or willing to relocate abroad to grow in an international context.
Skills,capabilities, Competencies:
- Business English is a must;
- Sap and Office proficiency;
- Interpersonal communication and presentation skills are the basis.
- Willingness to learn and drill down the subjects of the category
- Project driven mind-set.
- Experience purchasing raw materials
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including making presentations
- Experience negotiating contract agreements with suppliers in difficult situations
- Proven strategic thinking skills and an entrepreneurial mindset
- Analytical and goal oriented with the internal drive to achieve strong and quick results
