PRODUCT COSTING SPECIALIST

Job Responsibilities

Support the work of the business functions by providing cost estimates of new products, components, technical solutions, production processes.
Analyze the cost of products, components, technical solutions, production processes currently in use comparing them with similar new ones, to evaluate any possibility of cost reduction
Calculate the possible value of the cost components (material, processing, manpower) of each parts of the new products BOM, at the various stages of product development;
Principle Accountabilities:
· Analyze in detail, with the support of Production Process Engineering, the production process of products or components, for a correct economic assessment;
· Compare the cost of different products, components or technical solutions to identify, with R&D support, the cause of any cost differences;
· Define, in collaboration with Purchasing, the target cost of the new purchase components;
· Support Purchasing in assessing the adequacy of the cost of the purchase components;
· Analyze any differences in the cost estimate of a new product at different stages of the development process.

Job Profile

• Diploma or Degree in technical or economic subjects;
3+ years of relevant experience in a multinational company or in a leading consulting firm
Knowledge of the main industrial production processes;
• Knowledge of the main industrial production processes;
• Knowledge of the main Office applications (Word, PowerPoint) and in-depth knowledge of Excel;
• Knowledge of SAP is preferred;
• Ability to work both in teams and individually;
• Logical and analytical mind-set, attention to detail;
• Ability to organize work independently to meet deadlines;
• Good ability to work with other team members and colleagues
Fluent in English.
