Job Responsibilities

1. Activities in the fields of Health and Safety at Work and Emergency Situations

• Identification of hazards and risk assessment on workplaces/workstations- developing, fulfilling, monitoring and updating the prevention and protection plan, in collaboration with the team of evaluators for each job/workstation.
• Developing instructions, procedures and other EHS/ES documents and disseminating them in the company after they have been approved by the employer.
• Proposing the attributions and responsibilities in the fields of EHS/ES, which are the workers ‘responsibilities, corresponding to the functions performed, which are recorded in the job description, with the employer's approval.
• Verifying suitability and application of the measures provided in the prevention and protection plan in all working roles, their own instructions, as well as of their tasks and responsibilities in the fields of EHS/ES;
• Conducting the introductory-general training for employees;
• Elaboration of the subjects plan for all phases of training, establishing, in writing, the periodicity of the appropriate training for each job in its own instructions.
• Elaboration of the training program - testing at the level of the enterprise and/or unit.
• Establishing the areas that require occupational health and safety signage;
• Carrying out internal controls at the workplaces, informing, in writing, the employer about the deficiencies found and about the measures proposed to remedy them.
• Identification of the personal protective equipment necessary for the workstations in the plant;
• Participation in the research of work events.
• Preparing reports on work accidents suffered by workers in the plant.
• Monitoring the implementation of the measures ordered by the labor inspectors, on the occasion of control visits and investigation of safety events;
• Collaboration with workers and/or workers' representatives, external prevention and protection services, the occupational medicine doctor, in order to coordinate prevention and protection measures;
• Collaboration with the designated workers/internal services/external services of other employers, in the situation where several employers carry out their activity in the same workplace.
• Monitoring the updating of the warning plan, the protection and prevention plan and the evacuation plan;
• Proposing sanctions and incentives for workers, based on the fulfillment of obligations and duties in the fields of EHS/ES;
• Organization of practical exercises to verify the intervention and evacuation capacity.

2. Waste management activities

• Identification of the types of waste resulting from daily production activities.
• Training staff on separate waste collection and labelling.
• Supervising the activity of separate waste collection.

3. Activities regarding the Environmental Management System

• Implementation of the instructions/procedures regarding the Environmental Management System;
• Monitoring and measuring activities that may have a significant impact on the environment.
• Training the staff in the above-mentioned areas;
• Conducting internal audits.

Job Profile

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in health and safety
• Environment experience is a plus;

University Degree – Engineering, technical field.

• Very good communication skills;
• Good organization and time management skills;
• “Hands on” attitude, the ability to work under pressure;
• Analytical skills and attention to detail;
• English language – mid to - upper level;
• Good knowledge of working with MS Office Package (Excel, PowerPoint, Word);
• Safety Course – H&S Inspector (80 hrs)
• Risk Assessor Diploma (240 hrs) is a plus;
• Fire Marshall Course is a plus;
• Environmental Responsible Course is a plus;
• Driving License, Catg B, is a plus
