HEALTH & SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL SPECIALIST
Job Responsibilities
The EHS specialist is responsible for ensuring that the working practices are safe and comply with legislation while keeping up to date with changes in Health and Safety legislation and standards.
Main Responsibilities:
- Identify hazards and assess risks in the workplace.
- Develop, implement, monitor, and update the prevention and protection plan, in collaboration with the evaluators for each work position.
- Develop the training program – evaluate the knowledge after each training.
- Establish areas that require occupational health and safety signs;
- Develop instructions, procedures and other EHS documents;
- Check the status of the alarm, warning, emergency and safety signaling systems;
- Participate and prepare research and documents of work events;
- Collaborate with external specialists to coordinate prevention and protection measures;
- Organize practical exercises to check the ability of intervention and evacuation;
- Obtain the authorizations required by the legislation in force.
Job Profile
Qualifications, Knowledges:
- Bachelor’s degree in technical field;
- 2+ years of experience working in a similar position;
- Nice to have: experience in manufacturing environment;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office;
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills;
