Suppliers Quality Engineer
Job Responsibilities
A Supplier Quality Responsible ensures that products and services from external suppliers meet company quality
standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves developing and implementing supplier quality programs,
conducting audits and inspections, and collaborating with suppliers to address quality issues and improve
performance
Key Responsibilities:
- Supplier Selection and Qualification: Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality standards, capabilities, and regulatory compliance.
- Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality assurance programs for suppliers, including audits, inspections,
and process controls.
- Performance Monitoring and Evaluation: Track and evaluate supplier performance against agreed-upon metrics and standards.
- Corrective Action and Continuous Improvement: Identify and address quality issues with suppliers, implementing corrective actions and driving
continuous improvement.
- Communication and Collaboration: Maintain effective communication with suppliers, internal teams (sourcing, engineering,
manufacturing), and regulatory bodies.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of supplier audits, inspections, and corrective actions. Maintaining detailed records of supplier quality performance, documenting issues and resolutions, and preparing reports to track quality metrics.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies related to supplier quality.
- Supplier Development: Provide guidance and support to suppliers to improve their quality processes and performance.
- Supplier Audit Planning and Execution: Develop and execute audit plans to assess supplier compliance and identify areas for
improvement.
- Service Level Agreement Negotiation: Negotiate service level agreements with suppliers to ensure performance and quality
expectations are met.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering collaboration and trust.
- New Supplier Onboarding: Develop and implement processes for onboarding new suppliers, ensuring they meet company
quality standards.
Job Profile
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience in supplier quality management, quality control, or
quality assurance.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, quality management).
- Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Manager , ISO 9001 auditor) are a plus.
Competencies:
- Very good communication and interpersonal skills;
- Good organization and time management skills;
- “Hands on” attitude, the ability to work under pressure;
- Analytical skills and attention to detail;
- Quality core tools;
- English language – mid - to - upper level;
- Good knowledge of working with MS Office Package (Excel, PowerPoint, Word);
- Driving License, Catg B, is a plus
Other relevant Knowledge and skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001,ISO 22000).
- Experience in supplier quality management, audits, and assessments.
- Proficiency in using quality analysis tools (e.g., 8D, SPC, PFMEA , CP).
- SAP
- Advanced knowledge (written and spoken) of English and Italian
